Originally from Erith, Kent, I began my professional career as a Laboratory Technician at Leon Frenkel, where I analysed resins, rosins, varnishes, and related chemicals across the full supply chain; from receipt through production to despatch. During my time there, I reviewed and updated critical safety processes following an incident in another department, contributing to improved safety standards and increased employee confidence. I also actively advocated for professional development, helping to highlight the value of structured education and clear career progression within the organisation.
I subsequently joined the Ministry of Defence as a Scientific Officer, where I tested plastics, composites, and foams against current British, international, and military standards. During this role, I introduced automated data-analysis processes, resulting in significant improvements in both productivity and accuracy. I later transitioned into higher education as a mature student, studying Physics with Planetary and Space Physics at Aberystwyth University in Wales.
After completing my degree, I transitioned into a career in design, digital media, and pre-press production, undertaking an apprenticeship that provided a strong technical foundation. One of my earliest projects involved producing scientific journals, allowing me to combine creative work with my scientific background.
I went on to work with several of London’s largest agencies, delivering work across scanning, retouching, artwork, and design. Today, I run my own company, Aquarius Creative, offering a multidisciplinary service that includes graphic design, 3D animation, video, and photography.
During the COVID-19 lockdowns, I worked with BBMV on the Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) construction project, providing data reporting and programme controls for Whitechapel Station. My work supported decision-making at senior level and contributed to bringing forward the station’s commissioning date while reducing costs across the wider programme. As one of the most complex transport interchanges, Whitechapel Station moved from being last on the Crossrail project to among the first to be delivered.
I later joined the Canary Wharf Station project as an Asset Manager and Data Analyst with ENGIE UK and EQUANS. In this role, I demonstrated strong leadership, motivating, empowering, and supporting diverse and inclusive teams, including subject-matter experts, to deliver high-quality work under pressure and to tight deadlines within a complex, multi-organisational environment. As the project approached completion, I transitioned from working across all systems to specialising in the electrical systems, supporting the team through closeout and handover. I was retained through the final stages of the project as the team was progressively reduced, remaining as one of the final four staff members.
I currently produce video and digital content for a range of UK and international companies and agencies. My work spans concept development, production, and post-production, delivering clear, effective visual communication tailored to each client’s technical, commercial, and brand requirements.
Outside of my professional work, I am an avid mountain biker and regularly ride across Lincolnshire. I also support the Biking Vikings charity ride, which has collectively raised over £100,000 for BBC Children in Need.
If you’re looking to collaborate on a project, communicate complex ideas clearly, or simply start a conversation, I’m always happy to connect.
